The Henry Jones Art Hotel on Hobart’s waterfront, combines 19th-century sandstone warehouses with stylish modern design.

Guests sleep within sandstone walls more than one-metre thick, each room designed to showcase the building's past. Bathrooms are enclosed in a translucent glass box, featuring the latest European elliptical spa baths and double showers. The hotel features the work of local artists and designer makers - both traditional and contemporary.

Fine dining is available at the Henry's Harbourside Restaurant.

The rooms colours complement the mellow sandstone walls and king size beds have deep rich silk coverings and ottomans. Tasmania's historic trading links with the world are reflected in The Peacock Terrace, The Henry Jones Suite and Oriental suites.

The hotel is within a five minute walk of Hobart’s cultural and restaurant precinct - Salamanca Place, Salamanca Arts Centre, Tasmanian Museum and Art Gallery, Theatre Royal (Australia's oldest), Maritime Museum of Tasmania, Federation Concert Hall (Tasmanian Symphony Orchestra’s home) and Constitution Dock - where the Sydney to Hobart Yacht Race finishes each January.

The hotel has received national and international acclaim including recognition by Conde Nast Traveller as Best Leisure Hotel Australasia and South Pacific 2007, Australian Tourism Awards for Best New Tourism Development and Unique Accommodation and the Australian Hotels Association named The Henry Jones the Best Overall Hotel in Australia.
