Icena, a holiday retreat near Mount William National Park with homes, backpacker or group accommodation in Tasmania's northeast.
Icena is also located close to the Bay of Fires and the Musselroe River.
Icena's three spacious fully self-contained homes each have four bedrooms with queen or twin beds. Each house has an outdoor eating area and barbecue. An additional cottage with a bathroom and kitchenette offers single or couple accommodation. The group quarters consist of six individual rooms: single , twin or double - each with a television. These are serviced by a communal kitchen, recreation room and shower, toilet and laundry block. Bed and breakfast is also available.
Situated near the world renowned Bay of Fires, Icena is in the heartland or North-East Tasmania' wilderness. It is teeming with native wildlife. Large Forester kangaroos and Rufus wallabies graze amongst wombats as wedge-tailed eagles soar overhead. It is an ideal place for any visitor eager to explore the natural environment. It also lends itself perfectly to group or corporate getaways.
Opportunities abound for bushwalking, beachcombing, fishing, bird and animal watching, kayaking, cycling or just simply sun downing, followed by an end of day barbecue.
