Three Hummock Island

Three Hummock Island offers a private island experience just off the coast of northwest Tasmania.

Stay in the comfortable homestead or cottage overlooking the sea. The homestead can sleep up to 14, and has two bathrooms. The cottage can sleep six. Accommodation is not shared with other guests.

Self-catering meals are provided on request, or you can bring all your food supplies and drinks - as there are no shops on the island.

On Three Hummock Island you can wander along deserted granite coastlines, swim at private coves and sweeping beaches, watch the birds on the many small lakes of this naturalist’s paradise. Walk through the bush, breathe the pure sea air and unwind in this serene relaxing hideaway.

Bird life abounds on the island, with over 90 species recorded. Wild ducks, black swans and eagles frequent the small lakes behind the sand dunes lining the beaches. Fairy penguins and shearwaters return to their burrows at dusk. Forester kangaroos and Cape Barren geese graze fearlessly on the open grasslands.

Access to Three Hummock Island is by charter flight from Burnie-Wynyard Airport in Tasmania or Lilydale-Moorabbin airport in Victoria.
