Seadragons and other Syngnathidae attract a lot of attention because of their etherial appearance. To ensure they remain safe in the wild and to reduce your impact on these marvellous animals:
- look but don’t touch
- leave them where they are
- do not herd them from their home range
- do not move them up and down the water column
- take special care with egg-carrying males
- turn lights down – keep flashes to three or four per encounter.
