Tasmania has a lively arts and culture scene. From January 8-24, the music and arts festival MONA FOMA is a celebration of this; an annual event where Tasmania’s finest talents converge with national and international artists.

The more relaxed pace of life, lack of pretension, and energetic and connected art scene has attracted writers, artists and performers. While we may have less than three per cent of Australia's population, we are home to nine per cent of its artists.

Our culture is enriched by our Aboriginal heritage and European, Asian and African immigrants.
