Bonorong Wildlife Sanctuary is located at Brighton, in Tasmania’s South.
At Bonorong, the Tasmanian devils are active during the day so you can view them at any time. The park also boasts wombats, koalas, birds, quolls and many amazing natives. A real highlight is over 80 free-ranging kangaroos that you can walk right next to and scratch under the chin, and receive complimentary kangaroo food on entry.
Bonorong offers a very hands on experience rare in other zoos and wildlife parks across the world, allowing you to view and share special moments with Australia’s unique wildlife. Your entry will also help continue the work with education, conservation and rehabilitation of Tasmania’s threatened wildlife. Bonorong's dedicated volunteers proudly run Tasmania's only 24 hour wildlife rescue service.
Be sure to time your visit with one of our daily guided tours, run at 11.30am and 2.00pm. You will hear little-known facts about the wildlife and stories of orphaned animals in our care. Tours include feeding Tasmanian devils and close encounters with wombats and koalas.
For the ultimate up-close wildlife experience, book a personal night tour, an exclusive out of hours guided tour of the park with one of our knowledgeable keepers.
Brighton is a 25 minute drive (25 kilometres/15 miles) North of Hobart.
