Port Arthur Historic Site is the best preserved convict settlement in Australia and amongst the most significant era sites in the world.
There is a lot to see and do at the Port Arthur Historic Site covering more than 309 acres with over 30 historic buildings and ruins to explore. At least a day is recommended.
Your site entry includes a guided tour, harbour cruise, the Lottery of Life Interpretation Gallery, Museum entry and access to the grounds and gardens.

Tours operate and restored buildings are open at various times between 9am and 5pm. The grounds and ruins are open from 8.30am until dusk. The Visitor Centre is open from 8.30am through to conclusion of the Historic Ghost Tours in the evening.
Also included in the day pass during summer months are a free garden tour, archeology tour, convict plays and children's activities.
