World Heritage Cruises is located in Strahan on Tasmania’s beautiful and rugged west coast. It takes you by catamaran into the world’s last great temperate rainforest. Choose from a morning or afternoon journey deep into the World Heritage Area.

Five successive generations of Grinings have explored every bend of the mighty Gordon River; they began as pioneer settlers and ferried their first passengers in 1896.

Today, Guy and Troy Grining share the passion of their ancestors. Their new 36 metre catamaran Eagle is the most advanced vessel to cruise the Gordon River. The vessels extra large windows and spacious layout provides the maximum in passenger comfort on a morning or afternoon cruise. Each cruise includes an informative narrative and interpretation of Tasmania’s west coast.

Your experience includes a visit to Hell's Gates, the 200 metre entrance to Macquarie Harbour named by convicts on their way to the infamous former prison on Sarah Island. Two hours on the Gordon River follows – and a buffet lunch featuring locally-grown smoked salmon.

At Heritage Landing passengers disembark to explore the rainforest and to spend time at the base of a Huon pine tree that was a mere seedling 2,000 years ago.
