Eight Days/Seven Nights Port Davey Wilderness Sail Tour
Imagine a natural waterway older than time itself. A waterway larger and more intricate than Sydney Harbour. A waterway that has never been settled by European humans and more importantly, it never will be. Can such a place still exist in this mad crazy and violent modern world? And where could it possibly be, and how can you visit this enigma? The answer lies only 115 nautical miles from Hobart, 115 miles in distance and a thousand years in time. The incredible World Heritage Area of south west Tasmania holds one of the world’s best kept secrets in Port Davey and Bathurst Harbour – bigger than Sydney Harbour - mile upon mile of never settled waterways, totally sheltered from the sometimes wild Southern Ocean, a network of unique marine life undisturbed for millennia.
Windeward Bound offers a unique and exclusive opportunity aboard our 35 metre Sail Training Brigantine with a strictly limited number of 10 adventurers per voyage. Discover this untouched wilderness twice a year, in March and November. You just need yourself and your sense of wonderment and adventure.
Cost is AUD2,750 which includes all meals, beverages and complimentary dinner drinks.
