Old Hobart Pub Tour
Learn about Hobart’s underbelly while you enjoy a drink (own purchase, no obligation) at two of our old waterfront taverns. In between, hear about other pubs, brothels, smugglers, convicts, alcohol and some rip-roaring characters who all played a part in this story of a murky but fascinating past. This tour is not recommended for children nor wheelchair accessible. (Easy walking)

Hobart Historic Walk Tour
The classic must-do tour, provides a great introduction to Hobart’s history and orientation of the city today. Guides explain the heritage-listed buildings, together with stories of characters and issues that were major influences in those early days, along with old pictures and maps to bring it alive. Wheelchair friendly, and easy walking, finishes in Salamanca.
One and a half hour tour departing daily from the Tasmanian Travel and Information Centre, corner of Davey and Elizabeth Streets at 9.30 AM on Sundays and 3 PM Tuesday to Saturday. Tour cost: Adult $29.50, Child (8 - 16) $14.00. Under 8 free, Family $75.00.
Battery Point Walk Tour
Make the most of our lovely long summer evenings with a pleasant stroll in this famous area, see lovely old cottages, grand mansions, Arthurs Circle, and St. George’s Church. This walk includes a stop at Shipwright’s Arms, where guests may purchase an optional drink (own expense). Stories of famous characters of the area, including Chaplain Bobby Knopwood and Truganini.
