Ross Bakery Inn provides accommodation in a fine old coaching inn located at Ross, Tasmania. Convict built in 1832 for John Dickinson, a free settler from Nottinghamshire England, the Ross Bakery Inn is a classic Georgian house.

The grand building has been elegantly restored and offers comfortable accommodation as well as a self-contained cottage. Savour the welcome of a port or sherry and oven-fresh treats in the guest lounge when you arrive. The Ross Bakery Inn offers accommodation for nine guests in four first-floor bedrooms. Each room has en suite facilities and is beautifully decorated. This inn has its own in-house bakery with a traditional wood-fired oven, dating back to the 19th century. Today it supplies travellers and guests with a wide range of breads, cakes and pastries baked the old fashioned way. Kirsty’s Cottage is a self-contained, three bedroom cottage accommodating six guests. It has electric heating as well as a log fire in the lounge room. The family-size kitchen has complimentary tea and coffee as well as baked goodies. Wander outside and enjoy the cottage garden with outside tables and chairs.

Ross is about an hours’ drive from Launceston (78 kilometres/48 miles) south along the Heritage Highway.
