Lavender House The Perfumery is a lavender farm and perfumery at Rowella in Tasmania’s Tamar Valley.

Lavender House grows over seventy species and varieties of lavender flowering intermittently from September to May. If you visit in January you may see lavender harvesting and the distillation of the valuable perfumery-grade lavender oil in the custom designed still.

The perfumery building allows you the opportunity to observe the manufacturing and processing areas, learn more about the benefits of herbal skincare and enjoy sampling the extensive range of true lavender and aromatherapy products available for sale. These premium products retail Australia wide.

Guided tours need to be booked. Group discounts are available.

Lavender House is open from 10:00am to 5:00pm daily, except Christmas Day and Good Friday. Please note it is closed in July and August.

Lavender House, established in 1991, is a Tasmanian Tourism Award Winner and a People’s Choice Award Winner.

Lavender House The Perfumery is at Rowella, 40 minutes’ drive (32 kilometres/20 miles) from Launceston on the Tamar Valley Wine Route, close to the Batman Bridge, Beaconsfield and Beauty Point.
