Day Tours
Roaring 40's Ocean Kayaking offer a range of day tours both mid-week and weekend. Choose from the Tasman Peninsula Day Tour, the Channel Day Tour and the Peppermint Bay Lunch Paddle from Monday to Friday or take one of the variety of scheduled day trips on weekends throughout the season.
You may wish to experience kayaking at night by taking the Friday Night Paddle generally held on the last Friday on each month from October to April.

Oyster Cove Half Day Tour
The Oyster Cove half day tour is our best for first time paddlers. The pace is relaxed and the picturesque scenery of the northern D’Entrecasteaux Channel just slips effortlessly by! Along the route is an interesting Atlantic Salmon Farm and more often than not, a curious seal!
Includes: light refreshments.
Operates on demand November - April. Departs Kettering at 0900 and returns at 1230. Cost on application.
South West Tasmania World Heritage Wilderness 3 Day Kayaking Tour
This kayaking exploration of the calmer waters of Bathurst Harbour and the Narrows is an ideal way to experience the majesty of this area if your time is at a premium, or you're new to paddling or wilderness camping. The paddling activities on this trip use our standing camp as a base, making this a wilderness kayaking experience with a splash of comfort! On all trips the itinerary is devised around the groups interests and the prevailing weather. This typically results in between three and four hours of paddling each day punctuated by frequent rest stops and a relaxing lunch break.

Seven Day Port Davey "Wilderness on Water" Sea Kayaking Expedition Tour
This trip is Australia’s ultimate multiday seakayaking experience, however it is appropriate for experienced wilderness campers only. This trip makes use of the Forest Lagoon Standing camp on only the first and last nights, all other nights are spent low impact wilderness camping. The ability to camp anywhere affords these groups the flexibility to take advantage of weather windows that enable the safe exploration by kayak of the more exposed waterway of Port Davey.
Departure dates: 2009 - November 1 and 15, December 6 and 27. 2010 - January 10 and 24, February 7 and 21, March 7 and 21, April 4 and 18 . Includes: Flights into and out of Melaleuca, all food, quality camping and paddling equipment. Cost: $2495.00 - $2595.00 per person.
South West Tasmania World Heritage Wilderness 3 Day Journey of Walks
This journey is for active people who are yet to embrace the joys of kayaking. You will be transported through the twists and turns of these unique waterways on board the Roaring 40s seaworthy, six-metre, expedition tender. The interests and energies of you and your group will determine the day's activities. You may choose between short walks to places of cultural interest or spend more energy clambering up one of the surrounding hills to gain a panorama of the waterway. Accommodation is at the Forest Lagoon Standing camp, which offers a sheltered forest dining area, platform tents with standing headroom and a toilet facility.
Departures 2009 - November 17, December 8 and 29. 2010 - January 12 and 26, February 9 and 23, March 9 and 23, April 6 and 20. Cost $1895.00 per person ($1995.00 in Jaunuary and February)
Wilderness Weekend
Simply a great, active weekend away! A spectacular scenic flight, a boat trip, fresh air and enough exercise to bring on a good appetite! The first day closes with a sumptuous meal accompanied by fine Tassie wines. A roomy platform tent pitched off the ground amongst the trees accommodates you comfortably within the wilderness. Drift into easy sleep listening to the soft murmurings of Ring-Tailed Possums and awake to the chorus of birds! Day 2 includes an optional splash of paddling to best take in the exquisite reflections captured in the morning calms. Follow up breakfast with a healthy walk to a panoramic lunch spot so as to absorb as much of this sublime landscape as possible before departure.
