10Th Annual Quilting and Embroidery Exhibition

Including all forms of textile art and craft

Categories to be judged and awarded prizes:

*Challenge Autumn Supported by Sewknit of LAUNCESTON AND Bernina Australia

*Patchwork and quilting

*Needlework including embroidery, knitting, tatting, lacework, weaving, dolls and teddy bears

*Novice section

*Junior work

Categories not judged but eligible for viewer’s Choice Awards:

*Exhibition Only

*BOD Stitcher’s Workshop displays.

Tickets for the Break O’Day Stitcher’s 2013 raffle will be for sale at the exhibition. The raffle will be drawn Tuesday, April 2nd at the close of the show. First Prize: Two king single twin quilts and four matching cushions. Second Prize: set of scissors, donated by Annie’s Cottage Crafts.

Raffle proceeds will be distributed among: royal Flying Doctors (Tasmania), St Helens Community Car Services, and Tasmanian Lymphoedema Clinic, St Marys.

What is the stuff of thought? In recent history there has been an assumption that thoughts are words, and that our minds are some sort of symbol processing machine, like a very powerful computer. Dark Mofo.
15 - 23 June, Hobart
Artists have been paired with producers to create sound-to-light installations and performances. This is the third iteration of the project.
Presented by Salamanca Arts Centre and Dark Mofo.
