Art from Trash 2013

Art From Trash is an annual community event hosted by Resource encouraging the reuse of discarded materials to make artworks. The exhibition is open to all ages and is a great opportunity for many first time, emerging and student artists. Be surprised, have a giggle, think. All in store at the annual Art From Trash community art exhibition where artists young and old provide their take on the creative reuse of “waste” materials in the visual artworks on display.

Art From Trash is a great platform for artists to launch themselves into the public arena. Thousands of visitors, from arts aficionados to school children, have witnessed the amazing artworks over the years, and our opening nights are a feature on the Hobart sub-cultural calendar. To encourage participants Resource hosts a number of awards: the People's Choice Award, the Trash Rat Youth Award and the Mojo Wearable Art Award.
