Tarmac rally of one hundred and sixty kilometres over 18 special stages.
Competing cars will be placed on public display in the Burnie's central Wilson Street business area on the Saturday morning prior to the midday start with Competitor Briefing once gain being hosted by the lavish Metro Cinema. The new Saturday Leg will start with two runs on the "Wivenhoe" semi-street stage beside the Bass Highway and the popular Saturday cafe's and gourmet shops in Wivenhoe then competitors head into the hills behind Burnie for the 10km "Natone Hills", 8km "Camena Valley" and the technical 13km "Calder-Yolla" (subject Council approval) with a Service Area in Burnie.
After Burnie, the 3km "Fernglade" will take crews back to "Natone Hills" then the new 8km "Riana-Natone" before descending back down "Fernglade Reverse" for the awesome Burnie Super Street Stage to complete the day!
Sunday's Leg will see the multiple runs used on Savage River this year move to Hellyer Gorge in 2013. Acknowledged as one of the World's great tarmac rally stages, "Hellyer Gorge" and "Mount Leslie" will be used in both directions before heading via the famous and testing 26km of "Savage River" to the magnificent buffet lunch provided by ESS Services and Grange Resources in Savage River. After lunch, crews return to Burnie for a mid-afternoon finish via "Savage River Reverse" and "Hellyer Gorge Reverse"
