Event options: Convicts & Wenches 2 person mixed relay (the Wench runs out and the Convict runs back); solo 50km, 25km or 10km. There is also a 4km run on the beach for students of 17 and under. The 25 and 10km options are also available for walkers.
The run course: For the 50km, proceed from Green's Beach along the coastal track around West Head, then Badger's Beach, Badger's Headland, Copper Cove, and along Baker's Beach to the western end (25km) and back to the race start. For the 25km, run east along Green's Beach for 2km, turn around and run back along the full length of Green's beach, around the coastal track to West head, along Badger's Beach to the aid station on Badger's headland and back. Start time: 8 am (daylight saving time, to coincide with low tide). Entrants in the 50km who expect to take longer than 6 hours can start at the earlier time of 0700. The 25km will start at 0900, the 10km at 1000 and the 4km children's (17 and under) run at 1100.
Aid stations: Runners are encouraged to carry their own supplies as the weather can be quite warm at this time of year. Top-up facilities are available at the 5k (also 45), 11k (also 39) and 25k marks. These stations will also carry sports drink, Coca-Cola, bananas and lollies.
Racebibs: Competitors, other than late entrants, will receive a personalised racebib. Racebibs will be available in the race precinct area one hour before start time.
Teeshirts: A commemorative teeshirt will be awarded to event finishers. The teeshirts need to be ordered by us no later than 18 February, so please enter by that date. Late entrants risk not receiving a teeshirt.
Sausage sizzle: A complimentary sausage sizzle will commence at 12 noon.
Prizes: normal trophies to 1, 2 & 3 male and female in each event. Plus best dressed convict and best dressed wench, both adult and children.
