Festivale celebrates food, wine and entertainment in al fresco style at Launceston's historic City Park. Originally established in 1988 as a multi-cultural street party, it has transformed itself into an iconic Tasmanian event, drawing people together to celebrate what Tasmania has to offer the world.

With awards in 2008, 2009 and 2010 (Tasmania's Tourism Awards), it attracts over 40,000 people annually to the three day long  food, wine and beer, arts and entertainment festival.

Over 65 stalls offer patrons the opportunity to taste and savour highly renowned Tasmanian gourmet food and wine amid all the colour and fun of family entertainment dance, music and street theatre - provided by both local and interstate artists.

In 2012 there are a series of Master Classes 'From Hops to Vines' to inspire you. By the way, how's that for a name?

Looking for a way to express yourself? The Festivale Photography Prize invites you to capture some aspect of Tasmanian food, wine, beer or entertainment.
Use your camera or phone. First  prize is $500!
