    Community festival featuring live music, market stalls held on the stunning foreshore of Franklin.

    Come along to this enjoyable community festival which has a wonderful outdoor atmosphere.

    This Festival is held to highlight the many attributes of this beautiful historic village and the people who live here.

    A full program of Huon River events is being with favourites from past years returning, including the illuminated night boat parade, and some new activities joining the event for the first time.

    The oval will be alive with activity, stalls, music and a host of interesting features.

    The kids will be well and truly catered for as will the adults and everyone’s appetite.

    Of course, the Franklin traders, the folk who do something special every day of the year in Franklin, will be open and welcoming all the visitors to the town with open arms. They too will be putting on specials and having fun during the day.

    Markets, food, music, pet shows, games and lots, lots more will ensure your day is everything you want it to be...participate in the fun, or sit back and relax and enjoy the laughter.

    What is the stuff of thought? In recent history there has been an assumption that thoughts are words, and that our minds are some sort of symbol processing machine, like a very powerful computer. Dark Mofo.
    15 - 23 June, Hobart
    Artists have been paired with producers to create sound-to-light installations and performances. This is the third iteration of the project.
    Presented by Salamanca Arts Centre and Dark Mofo.

    See exclusive displays and inspiring exhibitions and guest artists at the biggest craft event in Australasia at the Derwent Entertainment Centre. Join workshops or make-and-take classes and learn something new.

    Be surprised, have a giggle, think. All in store at the annual Art From Trash community art exhibition where artists young and old provide their take on the creative reuse of “waste” materials in the visual artworks on display.
