Jobs and Skills Expo 2013

The Australian Government Jobs and Skills Expos is coming to the Derwent Entertainment Centre.

The Expo will bring with it hundreds of jobs and skills training opportunities for local job seekers across southern Tasmania of all ages and skills sets.

Since they commenced in October 2009, the Jobs and Skills Expos have been held right across Australia connecting tens of thousands of people with jobs and training opportunities.

Local job seekers, businesses, recruitment agencies, training and educational organisations from the region are encouraged to get involved in the Expo, which is part of the Australian Government’s ‘Building Australia’s Future Workforce’ package.

It is never too late to up-skill, re-skill or re-engage in the workforce, and the Jobs and Skills Expo provides an excellent opportunity for local job seekers and people interested in undertaking further skills training to meet a range of employers and training providers under one roof.

The Expo is a one-stop-shop for jobs and training, where job seekers can do months worth of job searching on one day!

Local businesses from the in and around the region are urged to get involved in the Expo and help get local people back to work.

The Hobart Jobs and Skills Expo is free for both job seekers and exhibitors. There’s also a free sausage sizzle.
