A weeklong event offering amateur cyclists from across the globe a chance to immerse themselves in a professional cycling experience.

The Launceston Pro-Ex presents more than 200 amateur cyclists an exclusive opportunity to join some of Australia’s top professional cyclists on a week-long training camp and compete in a 160 kilometre Gran Fondo road race in and around the cycling mecca of Launceston, Tasmania.

Keen amateur cyclists will exercise their cycling passion at a new level with this all inclusive experience of living, training, eating and competing like a professional in one of the world’s cycling hot spots.

The Launceston Pro-Ex will open up the world of professional cycling to all disciplines, with coaching clinics and competitions planned for road racing, track and mountain biking. The Launceston Criterium will fall within the Pro-Ex schedule, which traditionally attracts some of the country’s best cyclists.

Launceston has a rich cycling is home to an indoor velodrome and on the outskirts of the city there are hundreds of kilometres of world class, picturesque and at times gruelling roads perfect for cycling.
