The Launceston City Council's popular Music in the Park series will return to City Park, giving people the opportunity to show they've got moves like Jagger.
Music in the Park will be held each Sunday during January and on Australia Day.
Music in the Park's popularity is founded on a simple premise, according to Launceston Mayor Albert van Zetten.
"It's free music by some great Tasmanian musicians, played in City Park, a place which is simply magical during summer," Mayor van Zetten said.
"You bring your family, you pack a picnic, you sit on the grass and enjoy the entertainment.
"It costs nothing and it's a fantastic way to while away a summer day."
Along with the music, there will also be free activities for children including a jumping castle and train rides.
However, the Music in the Park series relies on fine weather -- in the event of rain, the event may be cancelled at late notice.
To check for cancellations keep an eye on the "Latest News" section of the Council's website.
