Port Arthur Tattoo

Set against the backdrop of the dramatically distinctive Port Arthur Historic Site penitentiary building, the tattoos and pageantry of bygone years will be repeated at Port Arthur. Bands and performers from across the state will come together to provide an evening of entertainment that is sure to wow the whole family. The inaugural Port Arthur Tattoo is brought to you as a generous show of support to the local community following the recent bushfires.

The Port Arthur tattoo will feature exhilarating performances by The Tasmanian Police Pipe Band, The Clarence Concert Band, City of Hobart Highland Pipe Band, St Andrews Caledonian Pipe Band, Derwent Scottish Pipe Band, Hobart Australian Navy Cadet Band, Army Band Tasmania and the fleet footed Hobart Irish dancers and the Hobart Scottish Dancers. Entertainer Andrew Colrain will delight as he joins us as Master of Ceremonies.

PACK YOUR TARTAN PICNIC BLANKET

A gourmet barbeque will be available packed with tempting and tasty treats. Pack your picnic blanket or grab your folding chair, stake your spot on the grass and enjoy an amazing performance, stunning heritage, delicious food and wine, all at Port Arthur.

Bus services for the Tattoo will be available from Hobart or come for the day to enjoy all the site has to offer and perhaps consider a Ghost Tour afterwards. Why not stay the night? There is plenty to see and do in the area and accommodation to suit all budgets and requirements.

Access to the performance is included in the cost of site entry. After 3pm entry is complimentary for entry to the Tattoo.
