The Pure Tasmania Cycle Challenge is not a race, but an endurance road ride aimed at cyclists of a moderate level of experience and ability on an open course. There are two event variations; a 135 kilometre ride starting at 1000 from the Cradle Mountain Chateau to Strahan Village, and the ultimate 215 kilometre challenge starting at 0600 from the Devonport Surf Life Saving Club to Strahan Village. Both events finish together in Strahan for the “After Burn BBQ” going late into the night.
Cyclists who do this event will enjoy a “Pure Tasmania” experience, riding the best cycling roads in the world, staying at some of the best hospitality venues and tasting Tassie’s best food and wines.
The event donates a percentage of all entry fees to the Make a Wish Foundation and is great value to boot. Participants receive a free jersey as part of their entry fee and free knicks if registered before 1st December.
