A magical, alfresco theatre experience.

Directions Theatre has produced quality theatre for Tasmanian audiences since 1999. Now in its 13th year, the annual production of Shakespeare in the Gardens at the Royal Botanical Gardens has become a mainstay in the Hobart summer cultural calendar.

As You Like It is a passion-filled journey into the Forest of Arden, where the longing of lovers and the wit of fools collide in a frenzy if emotion. Disguises are donned and removed, threats of danger vanish and the heart wins out in a world where there can be found good in everything.

This show is suitable for all who love the poetry and prose of Shakespeare and have ever fallen in love.

As You Like It is directed by Anica Boulanger-Mashberg and features the talents of local actors Harley Mason (as Orlando), Katie Robertson (as Rosalind) Anna Kidd (as Celia), Meg Brockie (as Jaques), Tom Byers (as Touchstone), and Matthew Wilson, Beck Riley, Dave Tilley, Ellen Roe, David Bannister, Petra Lagewaard.

This production also features original compositions by ARIA winner Monique Brumby.
