From far north Queensland but with his musical roots embedded in the deep south of the USA, international bluesman Sugarcane Collins is touring down the east coast and promoting a brand new album DOWNUNDER THE BLUES.

With appearances at most major Australian events like the Byron Bay Blues Festival, Blue Mountains Blues&Roots Festival, Blues on Broadbeach, The Gympie Muster, Blues at Bridgetown, Port Fairy Folk Festival, National Folk Festival and the Legends of Blues Festival in Thredbo under his belt, his ever growing reputation as one of the most authentic and oiriginal bluesmen in Australia is assured. But Sugarcane Collins rides the blues highway all over the world for all he is worth and has recently completed his 5th Tour of the USA where he played New Orleans and Clarksdale Mississippi and major blues festivals in Illionis, Idaho and Washington states. He has twice appeared on the legendary King Biscuit Time Radio Show in Helena Arkansas and in 2009 he made history by being the very first Australian to play the blues in Argentina. Over thirty years worth of adventures on the road as a professional musician coupled with a deep understanding of blues history makes for great entertainment whenever this spellbinding solo blues performer commands the stage. Don't miss the big voice the funky guitar and the amazing stories of Queensland bluesmanSugarcane Collins when he launches into his new album DOWNUNDER THE BLUES.
