Be a part of the crowd and see spectacular airborne antics off the top of the dunes that will thrill the crowds who line the hills adjacent to the start and finish line.
One of the last remaining sand endurance circuits, the 5km St Helens track is located on Tasmania's beautiful east coast.
Every year the prevailing winds change the face of the circuit offering new challenges.
The track is marked out in an area set aside for recreational use and is split evenly between a super quick beach run before turning back for home through the dunes.
The event is a tough one held over two days of competition. Drivers who manage to see the end of the fifth heat on Sunday will have travelled some 500 kms to get to the chequered flag.
Track side catering both days with hot n cold food and drinks available.
Please note for tourists the dunes ( state rec area) is not open to the public on race days as the Tasmanian Off Road Car Club hold a Tas Police motorsport permit to use it solely for race purposes.
Not just a must see for art lovers, the program is diverse and provides fantastic events from walks, tours and open homes, through to fairs, displays, talks and more.
