The Rubens are excited to announce they will embark on their largest tour to date this April/May. The ‘Never Be The Same” tour will begin on April 24th and takes in every Australian capital city as well as a regional centers all around the country.
Support duties will be split between Walk The Moon (USA), band with "swirly pop beats, infectious guitar riffs, and loud, sing-a-long choruses." (Nylon Magazine) and Oh Mercy, who last year released Deep Heat, their third and most colourful album to date..
The Rubens have had a pretty amazing run so far, beginning with their album debuting at number #1 on the iTunes charts and an impressive #3 on the ARIA Album chart. The band’s video for ‘My Gun’ was nominated for Best Video at the 2012 ARIA Awards, they scored the J Award for Unearthed Artist Of The Year and landed at #10 for ‘My Gun’ and #66 for ‘The Best We Got’ in the Hottest 100. Now 2013 is off to a cracking start with the release of a video for their track ‘Lay It Down’ starring Aussie screen sensation Abbie Cornish, their recent signing to Warner Bros. Records U.S. (exc. Aus/NZ/Asia) as well as the album and track ‘My Gun’ certified Gold in Australia.
