AS A THANK YOU FOR TASSIE’S SUPPORT ON AUSTRALIA’S GOT TALENT

Tasmania’s favourite band have announced that their first home state headline tour will take place in December. The Wolfe Brothers wanted to make sure their first full concert production tour was done in Tasmania as a Thank You to everyone who supported them on Australia’s Got Talent. They have called the tour – The Thank You Tasmania Tour.

After coming in second place on the nationally televised prime time show Australia’s Got Talent everything has changed for the Hobart based quartet of close mates who have been performing around the traps in Tasmania for years, paying their dues and ultimately becoming recognized nationally for their amazing live performances and original songs.

The Thank You Tasmania Tour will be the highlight of The Wolfe Brothers career to date. It will also mark a new beginning for the boys as they head out to conquer Australia next year and also start investigating overseas possibilities. These Tassie dates will be the first tour that the band will carry a full production of sound and lights, and there is nothing better than feeding off the support of a home crowd.

“We’re a country rock band who actually make country music that rocks!” laughs Tom Wolfe. And that pretty much sums up what audiences can expect as the boys take to the road, headlining gigs in Hobart, Launceston and Burnie.

Music is now a full-time occupation for these talented lads. “It feels so good,” says Tom. “It feels right to say, you know, we’re full-time musos now. We’ve all slogged it out for years, picking up whatever work we could, working 12-hour days just to keep the band going. We live for music, we love it, and if music can pay our bills then there’s no way we want day jobs again – this is what we love and this is what we do best. We are just so thankful to everyone in Tassie for their support. .”

Even though they’ll be out on the road a lot over the next 12-months, The Wolfe Brothers have no plans to move away from Tasmania. “Our first question when we signed to our management was: will we have to leave home?” laughs Tom. “We’d rather not. Tasmania represents who we are – it’s our home; it’s our family.”
