To hold is an installation of function and simplicity inspired by the mingei theorist Yanagi Soetsu and William Morris. Both men saw the beauty in traditional crafts.
Salamanca arts Centre connects audiences and artists with the work of all SAC resident artists, organizations, venues and exhibition spaces, and by strategically commissioning, producing, presenting and touring key development projects and programs.
SAC’s arts program is supported by Arts Tasmania, Hobart City Council, Australia Council for the Arts, The Government of Australia and, at times philanthropic trusts donors and sponsors.
An estimated 250,000 people pass through SAC’s doors every year, visiting galleries, exhibitions, performances and community events.
