How do you get from A to B? Boat, train, cow? There are plenty of pieces of orchestral music that evoke travel in all its manifestations from The Little Train of the Caipara by Brazilian composer Villa-Lobos to Mussorgsky’s Bydlo to The Padstow Lifeboat by Malcolm Arnold. A concert for all the family, Trains and Boats and Planes will take you to all sorts of places from the comfort of your seat in Federation Concert Hall.
Federation Concert Hall is the home of the TSO and its principal performance venue in Tasmania. A tiered auditorium on two levels with a seating capacity of 1100, it was opened in 2001 and in recent years has been enhanced through a program of acoustic improvements.
