East Coast Cruises offer cruise and ferry services to and near Maria Island in Southern Tasmania.

Maria Island is an expanse of brilliant wilderness, pristine beaches, protected marine habitats, mountain views, world heritage convict history and isolated recreation. Whether your interests lie in easy walking, hiking, bike riding, nature based photography, bird watching or exploring Tasmania’s convict past, Maria Island is a wilderness playground just for you!

Our fast, modern and comfortable ferry operates daily from Triabunna.

For the ultimate Maria Island experience, travel with us on our signature cruise/tour One Day On Maria. Enjoy 3 hours cruising Maria Island’s dramatic coastline, exploring sea caves, spring fed waterfalls, sweeping sandy beaches, towering mountain ranges, the Fossil Cliffs and Painted Cliffs.

Dock at the world heritage Darlington convict settlement and wander through Darlington’s fascinating collection of well-preserved buildings and historic artifacts. Later, take a short walk to the popular Painted Cliffs or relax on one of the secluded pristine beaches before departing the dock to return to Triabunna.

Your tour includes cruise with interpretation of wildlife and local history, complimentary tea and coffee, rocky road chocolate and Maria Island park entry.

Triabunna is a one hour and 15 minute drive (85 kilometres / 53 miles) East of Hobart.
