I love my food and wine, and Tassie is well known for its quality and variety of foods and wines. The problem is, as a non-local, I didn't know where to go, and how to get to these places, so these tours were perfect for me. The beauty of these tours is that it's not just a tour of the wineries and farms, but a tour of the places you're travelling through to get to these places. Sally's exceptional knowledge of the towns along the journey gave you a real sense of the history of Tasmania, and all this in one day!

Herbaceous Tours take you through the farm gate and allow you to interact with a diverse group of farmers, providores and producers of Tasmanian food and wines. Most of the facilities visited are working farms that do not normally cater for tourists. This ensures that each participant is sure to enjoy a genuinely unique experience of Tasmania.

Herbaceous Tours are fortunate to be working with a diverse range of producers such as goat cheese, sheep cheese, saffron, water buffalo, organic beef, fruit wines and olive oil to name a few. The providores and farmers will explain the many wonderful and interesting processes surrounding their respective products during the tours.
