In Hobart, a beautiful deep-water port, your vessel will berth in the heart of the historic Salamanca area.
From here you can visit the Port Arthur Historic Site on the dramatic Tasman Peninsula, cruise to a vineyard or the Cadbury chocolate factory, or stretch your legs with a round of golf at one of Australia’s top courses. Within easy walking distance (10 minutes) you will find historic Battery Point, a spot of shopping in downtown Hobart, and great coffee in one of our many excellent eateries. Mount Wellington towers over the city - you can grab a cab for a few dollars and take in a vista unavailable anywhere else in Australia.
In the north of the State, the Tamar River winds its way through rolling farmland to Launceston, a perfect base for exploring Tasmania’s premier wine-growing region. Further north-west are the coastal ports of Burnie and Devonport. While on the east coast you can experience the stunning tranquillity of Wineglass Bay and the Freycinet Peninsula.
Many major cruise companies visit Tasmanian ports throughout the season.
