Travelling to Tasmania by ferry?

Spirits of Tasmania I and II provide a year round ferry service (departing daily) between Station Pier in Port Melbourne and Devonport on Tasmania’s north coast.

Onboard accommodation ranges from:

•  airline-style seating to private deluxe cabins.

Regardless of which style you choose, you’ll travel in comfort. All cabins feature private facilities, adjustable air-conditioning and a 220-volt socket.

The journey takes around 10 hours.

Travelling to Tasmania with the family pet?  A trailer? Campervan? Your mountain bike?

If you have decided to pack everything, including the family pet, kennels are available on request.

Also, vehicles and trailers of all sizes can be accommodated onboard. And from just $A9, each way, you can bring your mountain bike along with you.

If you are travelling with a campervan or car from a car hire company for the duration of your holiday in Australia, you can rejoin Highway 1 as you leave the ship in Devonport.
